Your radiologist acts as an expert consultant to your referring physician.
He or she assists your doctor in choosing the appropriate exam, interpreting
the resulting medical images and correlating the test results with other
information about you to help guide your care and treatment plan. With
such an important role to play in your health care, it is wise to select
your radiologist as carefully as you choose your primary care physician.
Why choose Overlake Imaging Associates? We believe that several differentiating
factors deserve your consideration for they have made us the Eastside
community’s oldest and most physician-referred
radiology group.
State-of-the-Art Imaging Technology and Radiology Procedures
Through our relationship with Washington
Imaging Services (WIS) and Overlake
Hospital Medical Center (OHMC), patients have access to the most advanced
diagnostic imaging and screening technologies available. This includes
PET/CT, multi-detector CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and digital
x-rays. WIS offers accommodating patient scheduling in two conveniently
located imaging centers in Bellevue and Issaquah. For the latest in
therapeutic intervention, OIA’s vascular and
interventional radiologists
perform minimally invasive targeted treatments using image guidance
at OHMC.
Highly Skilled Subspecialty Radiologists
OIA’s thirteen radiologists are board
certified in all areas of radiology with additional training and certification
in a variety of radiology subspecialties.
This focus enables our physicians to develop a narrow and deep approach
to their skills to more quickly and accurately identify the presence
or absence of a disease, and to provide consultation on treatment options.
Timely Report Turnaround
Because we understand that the results of an imaging study are needed
as soon as possible for diagnosis and treatment planning, OIA commits
to a timely turnaround. Your referring physician will typically receive
your report within 4 hours following your exam.
Advanced Information Sharing
Through our secure MagicWeb™ data sharing network, all of your
imaging studies, reports and medical records can be accessed on demand
by those involved in your care throughout the medical community. From
your primary care doctor to specialists to clinicians in the emergency
room and beyond—all can connect to and share vital information
about your health to better address your condition, treatment and progress.
Compassionate Care and Consideration
While
today’s imaging technology allows us to see so much, we never
lose sight of the humanness of the patient before us. When you or your
referring physician chooses OIA for the imaging and interpretation of your
medical condition, we take on that responsibility with the utmost respect
and compassion. It is our goal to provide the highest level of service
to you and your doctor—today and into the future.
